Today marks a beginning: a new administration in charge of the executive branch of our government. A chance for us to step into the open crossroads of our history.
A day which presents an opportunity to gaze beneath superficial notions of “right” and “wrong” and the stories of power we cling to out of fear.
Today we can move into our grief, and release our grievances. Grief is the child of love, after all.
Today, we can allow ourselves the grace to recognize we are beginners, let old stories melt away, and wait, reverently, for new wisdom to arise.
Today, we can realize that we have this opportunity every day.
May all beings be free of suffering, may all beings find peace, today and every day.
