No time to waste
The fight to make our democracy fulfill its promises never truly ends. Be ready to vote.
I will be visiting friends this weekend, and (I hope) not checking my laptop much. So a short, pre-written reminder: this close to election day, there is no time to waste.
Make a plan to vote. Help your friends and family make their voting plans. Speak up, often and respectfully, about the critical issues at stake. Not least of which is the ability of the federal government to respond to natural disasters such as hurricanes Helene and Milton. Project 2025 would severely curtail that response.
Democracy itself is on the ballot - again. And will be, I’m sure, every ballot for decades. The fight to make our democracy fulfill its promises never truly ends.
Be safe, be well, and be ready to vote in just a little over three weeks.
